River Float and White Pass Summit & City Combo

For the first great tour, Join our White Pass Summit & City tour for a drive up the Klondike Highway paralleling much of the Gold Rush Trail of 1898. Along the route are spectacular views of the Railroad, waterfalls, rugged peaks, glaciers and historical overlooks.

Upon cresting the White Pass Summit (3292 feet, 1003 meters), take in vistas of the sub-arctic alpine tundra of the “Tormented” Valley, with its crystal blue Summit Lake and remnants of winter snows. At the US/Canadian border, have a photo opportunity with the Welcome to Alaska sign!

Our return trip takes us the Skagway Scenic Overlook, which offers a panoramic view of the town, harbor and cruise ships. Included is our Historic downtown with a full narration and the Gold Rush Cemetery to hear tales of the infamous outlaw, Soapy Smith.

Then, get close to Nature with our Scenic River Float.  Enjoy a beautiful drive along the coast to the Dyea valley, an old Gold Rush settlement now returned to nature. See the start of the famous Chilkoot Trail where thousands journeyed in pursuit of gold. As you float down the gentle Taiya River, your guide will point out wildlife (Bald Eagles are common, bears at certain times of year) and tell stories of the area’s fascinating history while you enjoy the gorgeous river and mountain views. Dyea is a peaceful getaway from bustling Skagway and a perfect opportunity to feel part of the great Alaskan outdoors. Snack included.

Between tours you have about 1.5 hours for lunch and strolling quaint and historic downtown Skagway.

Combo price is $100/adult, $70/children 12 and under (all tax included). You save $20 per person by buying the Combo than if you purchase each tour separately.

Departure times are 9am or 1:30pm for the Scenic Float and 9:30am or 1:30 pm for the White Pass tour.  Time available for each tour varies by day.

If you would like to substitute the Chilkoot Trail Hike & Float for the Scenic Float just mention that in the booking form comments.
